		<description>Some mystical paths do seek transcendance, disidentifying with a world that is framed as an illusion, or an unreal arena of growth - other mystical systems seek to realize the Immanence of the God/s, perhaps because the Divine thought this world worth participating in. 

Parts of your post - perhaps combined with thoughts of Kitchen as place of spiritual service - reminded me of Brother Lawrence of the Resurrection, a monk from the 17th century. He worked in the monastery kitchen, and his primary practice was to keep in mind his God, whatever was going on, as if all he did was with his closest Friend nearby.
